Danny P. Martinez

Danny P. Martinez, 55, a resident of Chimayo, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 14, 2015 with his family by his side. He was preceded in death by his mother, Flora L. Martinez; his son, Danny Martinez, Jr.; granddaughter, Jacyana Gallegos; paternal grandparents, Lucas and Adelita Martinez and maternal grandparents, Antonio and Delfina Lujan. Danny is survived by his father, Leo M. Martinez and companion Martha Vigil; daughters, Alicia Martinez and Carlos, Rochelle Romero and husband Rick, Miranda Martinez and her mother, Edwina Romero; sister, Danette Martinez and husband Tim; 5 grandchildren, 1 great-granddaughter; nephew, James Martinez and wife Jackie; 3 great-nieces, and many loving uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. Public visitation will begin on Thursday, February 19, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 20, 2015 at 1:00 pm. at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Chimayo. Burial will be held at Nuestra Señora de Dolores Cemetery. The family of Danny P. Martinez has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
