Danny Felix Valdez, 42, a resident of Velarde, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, June 26, 2014. Danny was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Bernardo Valdez; grandson, Julious Chavez; maternal grandparents, Erminio and Alejandrina Martinez and paternal aunt, Darlene Guillen. Mr. Valdez is survived by his children, Anthony Romero and spouse Tristan, Amanda Valdez and spouse MaryAnn, Danielle Valdez and spouse Justin Chavez, Danny Felix Valdez, Jr.; grandchildren, Arianna Vigil, Renee-Lynn Vigil, Devyn Naranjo, Anailey Romero, and Justin Chavez, Jr.; parents, Felix and MaryAgnes Valdez; sister, Rhonda Gonzales; niece, Jordynn Gonzales; nephew/God-son, Joshua Gomez; brother, Adel Valdez and spouse Samantha; nieces, Alejandra and Anita Valdez; nephew, Felix Valdez, II; God-daughter, Celinda Bustos; paternal grandmother, Anita Valdez and many other uncles, aunts, cousins, relatives and friends. A public visitation will begin on Monday, June 30, 2014 at 6:30 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Velarde with burial to follow at Velarde Cemetery. The family of Danny Felix Valdez has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
