Daniel Maestas

DANIEL J. MAESTAS, 32, a resident of Ranchitos, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 2, 2021.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Eduvigen Serrano; grandmother, Mercedes Maestas; uncles, Joe and Chris Serrano; nina, Velma Abeyta; aunt, Tita Estrada (Estevan), and his brother, Antonio Herrera.

Daniel was born on February 1, 1989 in Española. In his spare time, he enjoyed going to lowrider car shows, being around his friends, listening to music and spending time with his family. He was always there to help anybody in need. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.

Daniel is survived by his mother, Cynthia Maestas (Bengie); father, Lawrence Herrera (Theresa); siblings, Michele Maestas (Machete), Miguel Maestas, Anita Maestas (Patrick), Angel Herrera, Michelle Valdez, and Lenora Maes; nieces, Jessica Medina (Tim), Bella Salazar (Kyle), Lalaina Apodaca, Elysia Maestas, Lilly Vigil, and Jazlyn Vigil; nephews, Jerrid Maestas (Latisha) and Elijah Martinez; aunts and uncles, Geri Lopez (James), and Andy Serrano (Margaret) and numerous cousins and other relatives and friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be Ricky Salazar, Delfido Gallegos, Jerrid Maestas, Elijah Martinez, Derrick Serrano, Derrick Serrano Jr., Eddie Mallohan, and Frank Baca.

Services will take place on Friday, November 19,2021 at 3:30 pm at the El Buen Pastor Church. A comida in Daniels Honor will take place after his services.
