Corina - Age 90 - Hernandez - Maestas

CORINA MONTAÑO MAESTAS, 90, a resident of Hernandez was called up to the Lord on Monday, October 22, 2012 following a lengthy illness. She was preceded in death by her husband, Celso Maestas; son, Cruz Montaño; niece who she raised, Mary Ellen Gurule and brother, Arturo Montaño. Mrs. Maestas is survived by her niece who was like a granddaughter, Brenda Duran and companion Samuel Lozoya; nephew, Raymond Gallegos and wife Delma; brothers: Estevan Montano and Joe Frutoso Montano; neighbor and friend, Ernestina Salinas and companion Emilio Baca and numerous other nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Public visitation will be held on Sunday, October 28, 2012 at 5:30 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a wake to follow at 6:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Monday, October 29, 2012 at 7:30 a.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with burial to take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 9:45 a.m. with the follow serving as pallbearers: Chris Manzanares, Moses Duran, Carl Lopez, Brandon Ramirez, Emilio Baca and Luis Mendez.
