CORDELIA MARIE CORDOVA (Cordy), 87, a resident of Truchas, passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 following a lengthy illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Predicanda Panas; brothers, Henry, Melecio and Jose Panas; husband, Albert Cordova, Sr.; son, Albert Cordova, Jr.; daughter, Margie Murrieta and daughter-in-law, Lillian Cordova. Cordelia worked at Furr’s Cafeteria and the Espanola Public Schools. She was a member of Smith Memorial Presbyterian Church and the Smith Memorial Women’s Organization. Cordelia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Mrs. Cordova is survived by her son, Max Cordova of Truchas; grandchildren, David Cordova (Shaun) of Santa Fe, Bonnie D’Angelo of Phoenix, Arizona, Max Cordova, Jr. (Sara) of Rio Chiquito; great-grandchildren, Enrique, Monet, Sequoyiah, Reno and Marcus; son, William Cordova (Nena); grandchildren, Phillip Cordova (Stephanie) and Sergio Cordova; great-grandson, Damien all of Albuquerque; daughter-in-law, Grace Cordova of Truchas; grandchildren, Lisa Squires of Taos, Karen Garcia (Fermin) of Española and Joseph Cordova (Victoria) of Monument, CO; great-grandchildren, Amber, Donald Jr., Briana, and Destiny; son, Sammy Cordova (Sandie); grandchildren, Antonette Cordova, Valerie Cordova (Matthew) and Samantha Cordova all of Truchas; great-grandchildren, Brandon, Serena, Justice, Araya Blue, and Zach; son, Richard Cordova (Diahann) of Alcalde; grandsons, Ricardo Cordova (Bobbi) of Monument and Ryan Cordova (Brandi) of Los Alamos; great-grandchildren, Kianah, Kyle, Courtney, Cole, Noah, Maci, and Joshua, Sydney and Erik; son, Ricky Cordova (Adrina); grandsons, Ricky Robert, Jason and Jonathan Cordova all of Española; great-grandchildren, Jacqueline, Monica, Alyssa, Gerald, Nathan, and Isaac; son, Melvin Cordova of Truchas; grandsons, Jerome Cordova of Indianapolis, IN and Kristopher Cordova (Lysette) of Truchas; great-grandchildren, Anjolie and Kris Jr.; son-in-law, Roger Murrieta; grandchildren, Regina Clark (Rich), Rachel Murrieta, Matthew Murrieta (Rayel) and Michael Murrieta all of Denver, CO; great-grandchildren, Reina, baby 2, Oliver; daughter, Darlene Montoya (Mike) of Truchas; grandchildren, Jenelle and Andrew Montoya of Española and Adam and Aaron Montoya of Truchas; great-grandchildren, Sean, Kaylynn, Kirah; daughter, Christine Valdez (Karl); grandchildren, Nikki, Isaiah and Dominic Valdez all of Española; sister, Jenny Romero of Truchas; daughter-in-law, Tina Cordova of Española; sister-in-law, Carmen Panas of Albuquerque; niece Joann Cordova, nephew, Ralph Panas and other relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Friday, April 22, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a devotional service to follow at 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Smith Memorial Church in Truchas. Burial to follow at Los Llanitos Cemetery in Truchas with the following serving as pallbearers, Max Jr., Sergio, Joseph, Brandon, Ricardo, Jonathan and Kristopher Cordova, Michael Murrieta, Aaron Montoya and Isaiah Valdez.
