CONSUELO HELEN MONTOYA, 80, a resident of Chama, passed away of Natural Causes on Sunday, January 6, 2019. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Montoya; father, Candido Moya, mother, Sophia Serrano; sisters, Mela Salazar, Grace Short, Lupita Martinez and Teresa Martinez, brothers, Onofre Moya, Cerriaco Moya, and Emilio Moya. Consuelo is survived by her sons, Freddie Montoya of Albuquerque, Danny Montoya of Alamosa Colorado, Manuel Montoya of Pagosa Springs Colorado, Ricky Montoya, daughters, Gloria Abeyta of Farmington, Sophie Portillo of Albuquerque, Charlene Vandenhual of Rio Rancho, Manuelita Carr of Mountain Air, NM, Theresa Diaz of Albuquerque, and Hope Bentacu of Albuquerque. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Chama, with a burial to follow at the Chama Cemetery.
