Consuelo - Age 89 - Los Ojos Piña

Consuelo Piña 89, a resident of Los Ojos passed away on Thursday May 5, 2011. She was prededed in death by her husband; Arturo Piña, sons, Cippie Piña and Chano Piña, Mother; Ida Morfin and father Emeterio Martinez. Special sister-in-law, Rosa P. Archuleta and several siblings. Consuelo was born in Coyote, New Mexico on October 7, 1921 to Ida Morfin and Emeterio Martinez. She lived in Los Ojos for most of her life. She worked at Vera’s Mexican Kitchen in Chama, N.M. for many years. She loved cooking, reading, gardening and above all she loved the Lord. She is survived by her children; Walter Piña of Los Ojos, N.M., Ana Piña of Salt Lake City, Utah, Raymond Piña and wife Lydia of Farmington, N.M., Sylvia Bosen and husband Pat of Salt Lake City, Utah and Phillip Piña and wife Adeline of Los Ojos, N.M. Granddaughter she raised; Sarah Piña of Albuquerque and grandson she raised, Joseph Piña of Rio Rancho, N.M. Sister; Virginia Martinez of Cuba, N.M. 14 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. Public visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. with a Devotional service to follow on Monday May 9, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home. Graveside services are tentatively scheduled for Tuesday May 10, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. the San Jose Cemetery in Los Ojos (Please call the funeral home for confirmation). The following will serve as pallbearers; Joseph Piña, Ramone Gonzales, Donald Martinez, Leroy Lopez, Dominic Herrera and Gary Morfin. Honorary pallbearers named are; Anisa Gonzales, Cooper Piña, Marquita Piña, Alexandria Latu, Joe Piña and Daniel Quintana.
