CONNIE MORA, 53, a resident of Española, passed away on Friday, August 1, 2014. She was preceded in death by her mother, Theresa Salazar; brother, Teddy Salazar and sisters, Ruth Medrano and Candie Salazar. Ms. Mora is survived by her father, Ted Salazar of Española; companion, Robert Sherwood of Española; sons, Joseph and Teddy Mora; granddaughter, Jazline Mora; grandson, Nathaniel Mora; sisters, Elaine Salazar, Donna Lopez and husband Tony of Albuquerque and Wendy Saiz all of Albuquerque; step-daughter, Yolanda Sherwood, step-son, Mike Sherwood and family; step-granddaughter, Gabriel Sherwood, Abigail Nelson, Jasmine Rios and Jesus Diaz all of Española; nieces and nephews, Phillip and Erica Olguin, Patrick Walck, Jennifer and Kevin Garcia, Nicole and Jacob Sedillo, Carlos Sanchez, Alicia Medrano, Christina and Adam Vasquez, Rebecca Salazar and Andres Rodarte, Danny Valdez all of Albuquerque; aunts and uncles, Nelson and Shirley Martinez of San Pedro, Lupita and Julian Chavez of Alcalde, Lilllian and David Saiz of Albuquerque, Adonais and Faby Martinez of Dixon, Clifford and Angie Martinez of Dixon, Joann and Dale Miller of Santa Fe, Geraldine Martinez of Chimayo, Martha Martinez of Alcalde, Angelina Montoya of Alcalde, Darlene Naranjo of La Mesilla and numerous other relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 7, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Española. The family of Connie Mora has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
