Clyde I. Lovato, 79, a resident of Espanola, passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2014. He was preceded in death by his wife, June Beverly Lovato; mother, Elena Lovato, father, Juan B. Lovato; brothers, Eduardo M. Lovato, Miquel Lovato, Joseph Lovato, sister, Flora E. Lovato. He was an Airman in the U.S.A.F, he also worked for Nottingham Construction, General Motors, and the NM State Highway Dept, and also coached Semi Pro Baseball. Clyde is survived by his children, Kathleen Lovato Ayala and husband Chris Ayala of Broomfield, CO, Clyde L. Lovato of Espanola, NM., Robert B. Lovato and wife Cathryn Gleaseman, of Manor, Tx; grandchildren, Clyde P. Dolan, Stephanie L. Dolan both of Broomfield, CO, Christy M. Lovato, Teresa E. Lovato both of Española, Ariel Haddas Gleaseman-Lovato of Manor, TX; brothers and sisters, Christina Griego of La Madera, Dora Sanchez of Farmington, Alice Martinez of Solano, Levi Lovato of Las Tablas, and Glen Lovato of Ojo Caliente, and many other nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh, with a burial to follow at 12:45 p.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Alfred Martinez, Alfred Lovato, James Lovato, Andy Gurule, Gerald Lovato, and Billy Sanchez, honorary pallbearers Glen Lovato, and Levi Lovato, Peter Silberman, Kenny Ault, Joe Sisneros, and Manuel Martinez. The family of Clyde Lovato has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
