CLORINDA G. DUDA, 86, a resident of Alcalde, passed away on Thursday, October 7, 2010. She was born July 31, 1924 in Leadville, CO but resided in Alcalde all her life. Clorinda was preceded in death by her parents, Antonio and Estephanita Guillen; husband, Edward B. Duda; daughters, Constance Duda Martinez and Susan Duda Portis; infant son, George Duda; brothers, Clyde and Benny Guillen. Mrs. Duda is survived by her children, Marie Duda, Edward D. Duda and wife Eleanor; grandchildren, Jason Duda and wife Donna, Margaret Martinez and Pat Quintana, Julian Martinez, Desiree Duda, Kyle James Duda, Travis and Tasha Portis, Tyra Gray and husband Marlo, Tyrone and Tamika Portis, Neil Duda and Pamela Duda Vigil; great-grandchildren, Jonathan Rouse, Connie Sue Quintana, Estelle Atencio, Jordan Vigil, Lea Vigil, Tyler and Kaylee Ortiz, Carlos Montoya, Jr., Jaden, Connie Jenae, Jordan and Jerek Duda, Tresean Portis, Xayvion Garcia and Joe Fernandez; great-great-grandchild, Nathalia Vigil; brothers, Frank and Esperanza Guillen Martin and Fela Guillen, Richard and Maxine Guillen, Tony and Lillian Guillen, Lawrence David Guillen; sisters, Bernie and Jose C. Herrera, Ernestina and Harold Herrera; close niece, Darlene Vasquez and husband Jose Domingo and many numerous other relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Saturday, October 9, 2010 at 6:30 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A second rosary will be recited on Sunday, October 10, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Alcalde. Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated on Monday, October 11, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. also at the St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Alcalde. Burial to follow at the La Villita Catholic Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers, Frank Guillen, Martin Guillen, Lawrence David Guillen, Bernie Herrera, Tony Guillen, Richard Guillen and Ernestine Herrera. Honorary pallbearers named are her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The Clorinda G.
