Clora M. Age - 91 - Chamita Archuleta

CLORA M. ARCHULETA, Age 91, our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother went to be with the Lord surrounded by her family on February 2, 2012. She was a lifelong resident of Chamita, a devoted wife and loving mother, and an active parishioner of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and the Sagrada Familia de Chamita. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy and she loved each one of them dearly. Clora was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Juan D. Archuleta; parents, Felix and Sophia Maestas; brothers, Ubaldo Maestas and Felix Maestas Jr.; sisters, Mabel Cordova, Frances Atencio, and Sister Felicia Maestas; and son-in-law, Leonard Hirkala. Mrs. Archuleta is survived by her dear children, Alma Hirkala of Las Vegas, Nevada; John Archuleta and wife Mary of Albuquerque; Cathy Guillen and husband Joe of Española; Martha Roybal and husband Orlando of Española; Jeanne Archuleta and Ameenah Fox of Albuquerque; and Toni Elder and husband Ren of Dallas, Texas; grandchildren, Brina Ceballes and husband Jason, Ana Smilow and husband Robert, Carlos, Christopher and Katrina Guillen, Marcos and Jaymie Roybal, and great granddaughter, Lenora Ceballes; brother, Mariano Maestas and wife Stella; sister, Sally Barela; sisters-in-law, Margarita Salazar, Juanita Casados and Polly Barnhart; and many nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Monday, February 6, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh Pueblo. Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh. Burial to follow at 12:45 p.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers, Carlos and Christopher Guillen, Marcos Roybal, Ameenah Fox, Jason Ceballes, Robert Smilow and Alex Salazar; honorary pallbearers include: Orlando Roybal, Joe Guillen, Martin Martinez nieces, nephews and friends.
