Clarabelle S. Ortiz

Clarabelle S. Ortiz, a lifelong resident of Cuyamungue, NM was called to be with the Lord on September 7, 2023 at the age of 91. She was born on September 11, 1931 to Enrique and Anita Salazar in Nambe, NM.

Clarabelle is preceded in death by her parents Enrique and Anita Salazar, her brother Gilbert Salazar, husband Patrocinio Ortiz, and daughter Elida Ortiz.

Clarabelle is survived by her sisters Alice Lopez and Theresa Daily, her loving sons Patrick Ortiz and Henry Ortiz, granddaughters Erin Gomez and Stephanie Ortiz, great grandchildren Arrianna Gomez (Andrew Martinez), James Gomez and Sophie Lopez, along with numerous family and friends that will miss her dearly.

Clarabelle adored her family and friends. She loved cooking and entertaining for any occasion. She loved traveling with her beloved husband and children, taking pictures and making memories along the way that her family still cherish to this day. She loved the Lord and was a huge part of the catholic community as well as a part of the catholic daughters for over 50 years. Clarabelle was a self driven successful woman that achieved many accomplishments in her career. She was a program director for USDA and retired on August 3, 1990, after 37 years. After she retired, she went on to devote her time to her family and loved ones. She will be missed dearly by all that met her.

A Public Viewing will be held on Monday September 18, 2023 at 6:30pm at DeVargas Funeral Home in Espanola, NM. Rosary will follow at 7:00pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on September 20, 2023 at 10:00am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Pojoaque, NM. Burial will follow at 2:30pm at the Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe, NM.
