CIPRIANO LUCAS LUJAN, 82, a longtime resident of Santa Cruz, passed away peacefully in his home on Sunday, December 25, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents, Antonio and Delfina Lujan; in-laws, Bernabe and Fabiola Garcia; brothers, Gaspar, Nasario, Benito (Evedulia), Ernesto (Susie), sisters, Flora Martinez and Carolina Ortiz (Gilbert). Cipriano loved his wife and family dearly. He joined the Army to serve our country and was an electrician by trade. He was a very hardworking man on and off the job. He enjoyed camping, fishing, and watching sports. Most of all he loved spending time with his family. Cipriano is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Aggie; daughter, Merlene Cordova (Vince Tafoya), sons, Michael Lujan (Gerrie Trujillo), Steven Lujan (loving wife Corrine); five grandchildren, Michael Lujan, Jenna Lujan, Nelson Cordova, Brandon Lujan and Lexy Lujan; close ex-daughter-in-law, Rose and numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Public visitation will begin on Monday, January 2, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory, with a Memorial Service to follow at 7:00 p.m. Burial will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at 12:45 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery, with the following serving as pallbearers, Michael, Brandon, Jenna, and Lexy Lujan, Vince Tafoya, and Danny Enriquez, honorary pallbearers, Luis, Sandra, Irene, Ernest, Leonard, Randy, Vicky and Danette.
