Christopher James Age - 39 - Ranchitos Tapia

Christopher James Tapia, 39, a resident of Ranchitos passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2013. He was preceded in death by his father, Freddie Tapia; paternal grandmother, Ignacita Talachy; uncles: Ross Maestas, Ricky Tapia, Joseph Tapia, Eppie Tapia Sr., and Harold Talachy. Christopher is survived by his son, Christopher Tapia Jr.; daughter, Tiffani Tapia (Daniel); grandson, Vernon; mother, Evelyn Tapia-Barnhart; step-father, Dean Barnhart; brother, Robert Tapia; sisters: Geneen Martinez (Rodney) and Shaynna Tapia; nephews: Isaiah and Logan Martinez; niece, Jontelle Martinez; grandparents, Filimon and Ramona Vigil; godfather and uncle, Clyde Vigil (Guadalupe); uncles: Richard (Margarita), Tito (JoAnn), Leonard (Angela), Henry (Tina) and Harry; aunts: Julie (Leko), Darlene (Kurt), Hazel and Priscilla (Tony); godmother, Pearl Vigil; numerous other loving relatives & friends. Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, May 16, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh with the following serving the family as pallbearers, Clyde Vigil, Tito Vigil, Sisto and Angie Garcia, Ernest Garcia, Isaiah Martinez, Daniel Wallace and Kevin Vigil. The family of Christopher James Tapia have entrusted the care of their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
