Christopher Mondragon

CHRISTOPHER MONDRAGÓN , 59, of Espanola, died unexpectedly on Thursday, April 1, 2021. Chris was born April 11, 1961 in Los Angeles, CA. Chris was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Maclovio and Floripa  Mondragon and his brother, Nick Mondragon. He was the son of Nicolas “Tito” Mondragón of Perryville, AK and Carmene Martin of Cheyenne, WY. He moved to Espanola at an early age where he would end up making that his home in his later years. Chris was an avid lover of Harley Davison and the open roads. Chris enjoyed reading good books and playing Keno at the casino. Chris was survived by his ex-wife, Diana Mondragón of Wakefield, RI; daughters, Cheyenne and Dakota Mondragón both of Wakefield, RI and Stephanie Mondragon of San Francisco, CA. He is also survived by his siblings John Mondragon of Marietta, GA, Phil Mondragon of Long Beach, CA, Julie Mondragon of Orange County, CA, and Diane Mondragon of OR as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 15, 2021 from 2:00-4:00 pm in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory. The family of Christopher Mondragon has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
