Christobal - Age 62 - Chimayo - Romero

Christobal Romero, 62, (November 30, 1948 – November 6, 2011) a resident of Chimayo, originally from Nambe passed away on Sunday, November 6, 2011 surrounded by his family. Mr. Romero retired from LANL after 30 years of service. He was preceded in death by his father, Jose Otoniel Romero; mother-in-law, Alicia M. Martinez; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Ben Griego, Jesse Martinez, Gina Martinez, Lillian Pacheco, Jerry Martinez, Steve Wood, Susan Martinez, Danny McClendon of North Carolina, Joseph Trey Lacy of Louisiana; niece, Gina Griego. Mr. Romero is survived by his loving wife Mary A. Romero of 37 years; sons: Christopher Romero and wife Andrea and Adrian Romero of Chimayo; grandchildren: Christian and Mia Romero; mother, Josie B. Romero of Arroyo Seco formally of Nambe; brothers: Raymond (Linda), Tony, Michael, David, Greg (Patsy), Martin (Rachael); sisters: Janet, Adela, Loretta (Santos), Angela, Vicky (Joe); brother-in-law, Ruben Martinez; sisters-in-law: Corrine (Lionel), Lita and Ortencia; nieces/nephews: Nancy, Ashley (Tony), Sharon (Frank), Bennie, Michael (Elleene); many other loving relatives & friends. Rosary will be recited on Thursday, November 10, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, November 11, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Chimayo with burial to follow at Nuestra Señora de Dolores Catholic Cemetery.
