Chris A. - age 68 - Velarde Romero

\r\nChris A. Romero, 68, a resident of Velarde, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 3, 2014. Chris was preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy Miranda; parents, Andy and Stella Romero. Mr. Romero was an avid outdoors man who loved hunting, and fishing. He had a passion for building things from the ground up and fixing anything he could. He loved his family whole heartedly. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him. Mr. Romero is survived by the mother of his children, Susan Romero; his children, Mario Romero Sr., Ramona Kocharian and husband Mike, Gilberto Romero and wife Erika, Joseph Romero, and Salvador Beltran; sisters, Helen Romero, Alice Patron, Irene Gonzalez and husband Rueben, brothers, Marcos Al Romero and wife Connie, Carlos Romero, and James Romero and wife Connie, 10 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild, plus numerous other loving relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Thursday, March 13, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory, with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 14, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Española, with the following serving as pallbearers, Gilbert Romero, Joseph Romero, Mike Kocharian, Salvador Beltran, Mario Romero Jr., and Andrew Romero. The family of Chris Romero has entrusted their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley. \r\n
