Cheryl (Renee) Vargas

CHERYL R. VARGAS (RENEE), 47, a resident of Española who lived a lot of her life in Colorado, passed away on Friday, December 11, 2020. She was preceded in death by her mother, Clara Balderrama; maternal grandparents, Sabinano and Angelina Lovato; paternal grandparents, Armando and Estella Vargas; uncles, Joe Ulibarri, and Rick Vargas,; brother, Patrick D. Vargas; son, Delfin S. Vargas, and granddaughters, Aubrey Lynn Chavez, and Erin Mascareñas. Renee was a loving grandmother, mother, daughter, sister, niece, aunt, cousin, and friend. Anyone who knew her loved her, her smile would light up a room she truly had a heart of gold always wanting to help anyone in need. She loved doing hair, dancing, singing with her family, she loved the outdoors. Most of all She loved her grandkids more than anything in the world. She always was the life of the party when Renee was around it was never a dull moment. She lived her life to the fullest and touched so many lives, she is going to be greatly missed by so many. She is survived by her father, Frank Vargas Sr.; daughters, Shental Lucero, Stephanie Vargas (Derrick Trujillo), Patricia Martinez; grandchildren, Aaliyah Esparza-Lucero, Emma R. Olguin, Malakai Trujillo, Aria L. Lucero, and Hunter Trujillo; brother, Frank Vargas Jr.; sisters, Anita Vargas (Jeffrey Dominguez), Mary Lou Balderrama, Victoria Balderrama (Billy Martinez), and Nuvia Balderrama (Dwayne Gallegos); God-son, Dominic M. Lopez, and many other nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and special friends that she loved and will miss her dearly. Public visitation will be held on Monday, December 21, 2020 from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory. A funeral service will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. at Victory Faith Church in Española. Serving the family as pallbearers, Frank Vargas Jr., Derrick Trujillo, Dominic Lopez, Patrick Vaughn, Bobby Lovato, Lonnie Vialpando, Mario Miranda, and Jeffrey Lujan. Honorary pallbearers, Louisa Padilla, Donna Montoya, Tomasita Martinez, Rebecca Archuleta, Guerra, Phil Montano, Chris Montano, Vince Vargas, Eugene Hernandez, Noah Vargas, Nico Vargas, Ramon Hernandez, Adrian Vargas, Herman Almeida.
