Cherry Lynn Lucero

Cherry Lynn Lucero, 42 a resident of El Rito, NM passed away unexpectedly February 7, 2023.

Cherry was a very loving person and always knew how to brighten anyone’s day. She loved to joke and impersonate to make everyone, and anyone laugh. She loved spending time with family. She loved her dogs and treated them as they were her kids. 

Cherry is preceded in death by her father Johnny Lucero, brother Johnny Lucero Jr, and sister Tammy Griego. 

Cherry is survived by her mother Alice Lucero and companion Andrew, sisters Carol Ocaña (Freddie Sr.), Noel Ocaña (Paul Jr.), brothers, Johnny Lucero III, Billy Lucero (Victoria), and brother-in-law Bob Griego, nephews, nieces and many other relatives and friends. Cherry will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

A public visitation will begin on Friday February 17, 2023, at 10:00 am in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory at Funeral Service to follow at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at the El Rito Cemetery in El Rito, NM.
