CHARLIE T. TRUJILLO, 61, a resident of Rio Chiquito, was called home by his creator on Monday, October 24, 2016 following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer with his loving family by his side. He was preceded in death by his father, Amarante Trujillo; brothers, Bonifacio, Johnny and Henry Trujillo; sisters, Tommie Martinez and infant sister, Tomasita as well as other loving relatives. Charlie was a man of faith and a great carpenter that took pride in his work. He was very generous to lend a helping hand. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and uncle who was loved by all and will be greatly missed. Mr. Trujillo is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Mary Trujillo of Rio Chiquito; children, Charlie Trujillo, Jr. and wife Reina of La Mesilla, Matthew Trujillo of Rio Chiquito and Charlene Trujillo and fiancé Curtis Valencia of La Puebla; grandchildren whom he adored, Adrian, Andrew, Cayliana and Cyera; mother, Isabel Trujillo of Rio Chiquito; brothers and sisters, Theresa Naranjo and husband Dennis, Gilbert Trujillo and wife Sally all of Chimayo, Richard Trujillo and wife Josefita and Ruben Trujillo and wife Lydia all of Rio Chiquito; mother-in-law, Epimenia Rodriguez of Truchas; brothers and sisters-in-law, Barbara and Gevei Trujillo, Priscilla Rocha, Angela Trujillo and husband Ernest, Peggy Rodriguez, Amy Rodriguez and companion Justin, Percy Martinez, Anthony Rodriguez and wife Doreen, and Modesto Rodriguez and companion, Angeline; hijados, Percy Jr., Michelle, Raymond, Denny, Ruben, Jr., and Jessica and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited on Friday, October 28, 2016 at 7:45 p.m. at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Chimayo. Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. also at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Chimayo. Burial to follow at the Rio Chiquito Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers, Isaac, Henry, Ruben, Jr., Ernest, Julian Trujillo, and Denny Martinez. Honorary pallbearers will be his nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the Los Alamos Medical Center Cancer Care, ATU and E.R. staff, Giving Home Health and Del Corazon Hospice and to everyone who visited, prayed, loved and cared for Charlie during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Society. The family of Charlie T. Trujillo has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
