Charlie Lucero, 63, left home to be with God on Saturday October 25, 2014. He was preceded in death by his father, Carlos Lucero. Charlie was born to Carlos and Mary Lucero in Santa Fe NM on October 27, 1950. He went to school at St. Anne’s catholic school and continued his education at St. Michaels High school, he soon after that was married at St. Anne’s church. He was a painting contractor for 25 years and was self-employed for most of his life He spent the last 30 plus years of his life in his home in Chimayo NM. He is survived by his mother, Mary Lucero of Chimayo/Santa Fe; sister, Charlene Lucero; 3 Children Charlie and wife Shanie, Chris, and Carmella Lucero. He was also a very loving Grandpa to 5 grandchildren, Carley, Samuel, and Chloe Lucero, Deztiny, and Izaiah Marquez he is also survived by his ex-wife and mother to his three children Dorothy Lucero. A rosary will be recited on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Santa Fe, with a mass of Christian burial to be celebrated on 10:00 a.m. with a burial to follow at the Potrero Cemetery in Chimayo. Serving as pallbearers Chris Lucero, Charlie Lucero, Samuel Lucero, Lee Lucero, Andy Baca, Thomas Baca, Ryan Baca, and Alfred Baca.
