Charles Fredrick Powers II, age 58, a resident of Chimayo, passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2016 following a lengthy illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Dorothy Powers; sister, Dora Elixson and brother, David Boothe. Charles is survived by his children, Melissa Roybal (Eloy Roybal) of Arroyo Seco, Vera Powers (Wilberto Vazquez), Charles Powers (Clara Stover) all of Espanola, Dorothy Mae Brighton Powers and Andrew John Powers both of Honolulu, Hawaii; grandchildren, Randy N. Baca (Jayne Storch) of California, Gladys Powers of Espanola, Jonathan Vazquez of Espanola, Brandy Powers Baca of Arroyo Seco, Angelina Vazquez of Espanola, Daniel Brian Powers of Espanola and Hina Powers of Hawaii; nieces, Sherrie Aragon of Espanola and Julie Trujillo (Mario) of Rio Rancho; ex-wives, Christine Powers of Espanola and Melanie Powers of Hawaii; as well as numerous other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Stevens Episcopal Church in Espanola, with a burial to follow at 2:15 p.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Randy Baca, Jonathan Vazquez, Eloy Roybal, Charles Powers, Melissa Roybal, Vera Powers, Andrew John Powers and Dorothy Mae Powers, honorary pallbearers will be the grandchildren.
