Cecilia - Age 48 - San Pedro - Chavez

CECILIA CHAVEZ, 48, a resident of Middle San Pedro, passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2014. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Juan and Ernestina Martinez; paternal grandparents, Miguel and Rosarito Chavez and cousin and best friend, John D. Martinez. Ms. Chavez is survived by her children, Elisia Casados and Miquela Casados and companion Artie Valdez; granddaughter, Aria Casados; parents, Miguel and Erma Chavez; sisters, Cathy Chavez and Christine Chavez and companion Joshua Denipah; companion, Johnny Marquez, 10 nieces and numerous other loving relatives and friends. A rosary will be held on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh. A memorial mass will be celebrated on Thursday, February 13, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. also at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh. Burial to follow at San Rafael Catholic Cemetery in El Guique with the following serving the family as pallbearers, Miguel Chavez and Johnny Marquez. Honorary pallbearers will be, Leo Pacheco, John Tyler Martinez, Jimmy Martinez and Timmy Martinez, Artie Valdez, Matthew Marquez, Ry Parker and Fernando Anaya. The family of Cecilia Chavez has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
