Cassandra Quintana

d. March 1, 2022

Cassandra D. Quintana, 30, a resident of Chimayo, NM was called home to be with the Lord on March 1, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. Cassandra was a loving mother, daughter, sister and friend who was loved by many.

Cassandra was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather Ernie Quintana, gramita Josephine Quintana, maternal grandparents Ruben and Mary Sandoval, uncles Randy and Steven Sandoval, and aunt Sandra Martinez.

Cassandra was many things to many people but her favorite title was being called mom by her “baby” Jordan. She was a genuine soul with a heart of gold. It didn’t matter if she knew you for five seconds or five years, she would always talk to you as though she’d known you forever. Cassandra was always willing to lend a helping hand all while making you laugh. She had the most infectious smile with dimples that could light up a room. Cassandra was one of a kind and if you had the pleasure of knowing her, you knew just how pure and gentle she truly was. When she loved, she loved with her whole heart and that is one of the many things that made her so special.

Cassandra is survived by her son who was the light of her life, Jordan Padilla, parents Sidney and Karen Quintana, sisters Amanda (Shane) Binion, Denisha (Matthew) and TatyAna Quintana, brother Jaiden Vasquez, companion Gerald Sanchez, grandmother Roseabell Quintana, aunts Christina (Anthony) Sandoval and Geneva (Jason) Cisneros, uncles Russell Sandoval and Adam (Rebeca) Quintana, nephew and special godson James Binion, niece Azaryah Binion, nephews Shane Binion Jr. and Caleb Martinez, and many other aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Services will begin on Tuesday March 8, 2022 at De Vargas Funeral Home in The Sangre de Cristo Chapel at 6:00pm with a public visitation and a rosary to follow at 7:00pm. On Wednesday March 9, 2022 A Mass will take Place at Holy Family Catholic Church in Chimayo at 10:00am with burial to follow at El Potrero Cemetery.

Serving the family as pallbearers will be Jaiden Vasquez, Matthew Martinez, Shane Binion, Adrian Sandoval, Darren Martinez, and Brian Griego. Honorary pallbearers will be Jordan Padilla, Azaryah, Shane, and James Binion, Caleb Martinez, special friend Martha Trujillo, and her many special aunts and uncles.
