Carolyn Guinn Gregory “Cat”, 60, a resident of Española passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 4, 2012. Carolyn was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother & friend to many. She was very talented with her arts & crafts. She enjoyed making jewelry, knitting, crocheting and making beautiful blankets. One of her favorite past times was taking “scooter rides” with her husband Jerry. Carolyn loved spending time & caring for her grandchildren. She loved all children. We will miss her dearly. May she rest in peace. She was preceded in death by her parents, Curtis and Juanita Guinn; brothers: Carol, Oscar and Curtis “Woppie” Guinn; mother-in-law, Patricia Montie; father-in-law, Jerry W. Gregory; brother-in-law, Elbert Sexton; son-in-law, Andy Cordova. Carolyn is survived by her husband, Jerry Steven Gregory of La Mesilla; daughter, Rena Guinn-Cordova of Española; sons: Mike L. Guinn and wife Michelle of Española, David R. Guinn (George) of Española; step-children: Michael Allen Gregory and wife Felecia of Albuquerque, April Lynn Lavy and husband Matt of Española, Wendy May Harris and husband Gavin of Los Alamos; grandchildren: Kyle Cordova, Brittney Cordova and companion Lucas Martinez, Hailey Guinn “Hailey Bug”, Aiden Guinn “Little Cowboy”, Cameron Guinn “Swiper” all of Española, Halle Harris of White Rock; great-granddaughter, Alexa Martinez “Little Lady” of Española; very close sisters: Harolyn Sexton of La Mesilla, Ruby Valdez and husband Richard of Alcalde, Connie Guinn of Española, Nonie Powers and husband Jim of Oregon; brothers: Harold Guinn and wife Bernie of Española, Reuben Guinn and wife Dorothy of Española, Joseph Guinn and wife Marylou of Española, Tom Guinn of Albuquerque; father-in-law, Thomas Montie of Kingman, AZ; sister-in-law, Patricia Guinn; numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins & friends. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory.
