Carolyn Sanchez

Our Sweet Carolyn has left this earth on April 3, 2024.

Carolyn Sanchez was born the middle child of seven children to Charles Sanchez and Margret Roybal in Santa Fe, NM.

She grew up in Santa Fe enjoying the outdoors, cross-country skiing, camping, taking walks and traveling to new places.  She worked briefly in Washington, D.C. After retiring from the Department of Health. She enjoyed spending time with family and volunteering in the community.  Her favorites were working with the children in the ReCAP Program and Kitchen Angels.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Carlos Sanchez & Eufemia Martinez and maternal grandparents, Carmel Roybal & Rosaura Trujillo, parents Charles and Margret, and dear nephews, Ramon (Bobby) Vigil and Mark Hill.

 She is survived by her siblings: Carlos  (Camille), Carmela (Reece), Lucy (James), Rosalie, Lonnie (Edwina) and Ernie (Rita). Nieces and nephews: Linette, Lori, Arthur, Jeremy, Lucas, Miranda, Tiffany, Ashley, Alannah, Carlos, Alyssa, Jonathan, Marissa, Liana, many great nieces  and nephews and other beloved family and friends.

Services will be at Holy Cross Church in Santa Cruz, NM, on April 17, 2024. Rosary at 10:30 am; Mass at 11:00 am; Burial to follow at Rosario Cemetery in Santa Fe, NM, at 1:00 pm.
