CAROL ANN PHILLIPS, 63, a resident of El Rito, passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2017, surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Olen and Alma Thompson; her former husband, Bobby Painter; daughter, Andrea Trujillo; grandchildren, Alan Fuller, Maria and Esai Trujillo; brothers, Kenneth and Donald Thompson. Carol was born August 3, 1953 in Libby MT. to Olen and Alma Thompson. Carol was the youngest of 6 children. Carol and her husband Charles settled in El Rito ten years ago. She was an avid book reader and visited the library every week. She also loved doing crafts including crochet. Carol is survived by her husband, Charles; daughter, Michelle Fuller (Brian); son-in-law, Dominic Trujillo; step-son, Charles Phillips Jr.; sisters, Sharon Adcock, Lorna Vickroy, and Betty Thompson; and 6 grandchildren. Memorial service will be held at a later date.
