CARLOS GURULE, 31, a resident of Los Luceros, passed away on Sunday, January 6, 2013 following a brief illness. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Lillian Lopez and paternal grandfather, Gilbert Gurule. Carlos was a loving father, son and grandson. He loved his children dearly and enjoyed spending time with them. He was willing to help others and was very honest, right or wrong. He loved helping his grandfather hauling wood and with anything around the farm. He truly was a handyman. In his spare time he enjoyed riding motorcycles and playing video games. His family enjoyed his cooking and he loved to grill. There are so many memories, these are just a few. He will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him. Mr. Gurule is survived by his children, Carlos Emmanuel Gurule of Albuquerque and Verena Carlene Gurule of Mesa, Arizona; mother, Carol Gonzalez and husband Guadalupe of Los Luceros; father, Silver Gurule and wife Barbara of Cochiti; sister, Jessica Gurule of Ahwatukee, Arizona; brothers, Edward Gurule of Peñasco and Patrick Lopez and wife Meagan of Albuquerque; maternal grandfather, Nemecio Lopez of Chamisal; paternal grandmother, Ina Gurule of Ojo Caliente and numerous other relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Española with a funeral service to follow at 10:00 a.m. Burial to follow at the Chamisal Community Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers, Simon Pacheco, Josh and Marty Vigil, Jerome and Fernando Gurule, Michael Farnsworth and Fernim Lucero.
