Carla Loretta - Age 59 - Española - DeVargas

CARLA LORETTA DEVARGAS, 59, a resident of Ranchitos, passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at St. Vincent Hospital in Santa Fe. She was born December 8, 1953. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Lonnie DeVargas; parents, Joe Lovato and Bernie Romero; brothers, Dennis and Benny Lopez; grandson, Timothy Rivera; maternal grandparents, Juan and Raquel Salazar; father-in-law, Ubaldo Vargas and step-father, Anselmo Lopez. Mrs. DeVargas is survived by her children, Nina DeVargas and Glen Herrera both of Ranchitos, Keri Acosta of California; grandchildren, Eric Archuleta, Dominic Apodaca, Janae Salazar and Brianna Herrera all of Española, Elisha Herrera of Roswell and Francisco Acosta of California; great-grandchildren, Aleah Apodaca and Isabella Salazar; close niece, Judy Garcia; sisters, Lucille Garcia and husband Joseph, Ersie Martinez and husband Eddie; loving mother-in-law, Cecila Vargas; maternal aunts, Mary Padilla and husband Frank of Ranchitos, Virginia Garcia and husband Delfin; uncle, Willie Salazar and wife Mary all of El Guache and numerous other nieces, nephews and loving relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Monday, April 8, 2013 at 6:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh. Burial to follow at the La Petaca Catholic Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers; Lawrence Lucero, Johnny, Jody, and Jesus Garcia, Leroy Lopez and Jason Martinez. The family of Carla Loretta DeVargas has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
