CANDIDO S. MOYA “CANDYMAN”, 53, a resident of Chama, passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2015 in Albuquerque. He was born in Chama on October 19, 1962 to Maria Alcaria and Jose Onofre Moya. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Manuel Jerry Moya and Guillermo Willie Moya. Mr. Moya is survived by his daughter, Charity Moya of Chama; companion of many years, Carmelita Long and her son, Robbie Williams of Chama; brothers and sisters, Ramona Jacquez of Fruita, Colorado, Robert Moya of Blue Springs, MO, Flora Sanchez and Erlinda Moya of Chama, Joe Moya of Farmington, Geneva Loya of Clifton, Colorado, Jessie Gallegos of Pagosa Springs, Colorado, Pauline Moya of Los Ojos, Michael, Steven, Vicente and Reynaldo Moya all of Chama and numerous other relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Friday, July 10, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at the Chama Valley Worship Center with the funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial to follow at the Chama Community Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers, Reynaldo, Steven, Vicente, Joe and Clint Moya, and Henry Medlin. Honorary pallbearers named are, Robbie Williams, Fabian Moya, Jesse Moya, Santos Sanchez, Jr., Joseph Moya, Jr., Junior James Sanchez, Donald Gallegos, Sr. and Salomon Madrid.
