Camilo E. - Age 82 - Alcalde Medina, Jr.

Camilo E. Medina, Jr. – Age 82 a lifelong resident of Alcalde passed away on Friday, December 31, 2010 following a lengthy illness. He was preceded in death by his parents: Camilo and Trinidad Medina; brother, Edward Medina; wife, Aurora; sisters: Josephine Medina and husband Pete, Irene Silva and husband Benito and Frances M. Martinez. He was a loving and devoted father and grandfather. He is survived by his children: Sandra Medina of Las Vegas, NV and Andrew Medina and wife Rosa of Alcalde; 5 grandchildren: Moses Medina of Alcalde, Gabriel Uc of Louisiana, Monique Medina, Marina Medina and Alejandro Uc all of Alcalde; 2 sisters: Lizzie Medina and Anita Martinez both of Alcalde; close friends: Sixto Maestas of San Pedro, William Sanchez of Embudo, Robert Gallegos of Santa Cruz; companion, Cora Martinez of Santa Cruz; mother of his children, Dora Medina of Fairview; and numerous nephews, nieces, and other relatives and friends. Public visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. at the St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Alcalde with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A second rosary will be recited on Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at the St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Alcalde. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, January 6, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Alcalde. Burial will follow at the La Villita Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers: Roger, David, Paul H., Michael, James and Adam Martinez, Arsenio Gutierrez and Isaac Sandoval. The family of Camilo E. Medina, Jr. has entrusted the care of their beloved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
