“BRODO” DAVID J. CANTRELL, 23, a resident of Española, passed away on Thursday, June 28, 2012 following a lengthy illness. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Rosie McCall; great-uncle, Jim McCall and step-grandmother, Linda McCall. David was very fun loving and he enjoyed hunting and being outdoors and music. He loved his family and friends. Mr. Cantrell is survived by his mother, June R. McCall of Española; father, David A. Cantrell of Fort Peck, Montana; sisters, Amber D. Cantrell and husband Jerome Pratt of Colorado Springs, CO, Cheyenne K. Cantrell and husband Tino T. Enriquez of Española, Autumn R. Cantrell and husband Alfred Billingsley, Jr. of Colorado Springs, CO and Crystalyn M. Cantrell of Española; nieces and nephews, Nikolai J. Baca, Rosie J. Cantrell, Fabian A. Pacheco III, Hunnessy M. Enriquez all of Española and Keyonna M. Todd of Colorado Springs, CO; grandfather, Ray W. McCall of Yuma, Arizona; aunts and uncles, Melissa McCall and husband John Quintana of Peñasco, Vernon McCall and wife Trudy of Española, Karl Guinn and wife Elizabeth of Española, Clide Romero and Veda McCall of Alcalde, Cecilia Garcia of Abiquiu, Ernest Trujillo of Chimayo and numerous other relatives and friend. Public visitation will begin on Monday, July 2, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A second rosary will be recited on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Abiquiu with Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial to follow at the Abiquiu Catholic Cemetery.
