Brian L. Vigil, 41, a resident of Española, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, November 11, 2013. Brian was preceded in death by his sister, Roseann Vigil; Goddaughter/niece, Alyssia Martinez; paternal grandparents, Augustine and Bernardita Vigil and maternal grandparents, Philimon and Annie Arellano. Brian was a loving father, son, brother, and friend. He was very fond of his remote controlled Helicopter collection and being part of the Helifreak community. Brian loved flying them and it was a joy for him to research build and fly them. His greatest passion was caring for his children especially his 2 year old son Noah. Brian enjoyed being with his dad at his father’s ranch. It’s a place where he found peace and serenity. He will be missed by those who knew and loved him. Brian is survived by his daughters, Robyn Vigil and Luiza Vigil of Española; son, Noah Vigil of Española; parents, Lupe Vigil and wife Theresa of Española; sisters, Bernadette Aragon and husband Thomas of Española, Cathy Vigil-Martinez and Victor of Chimayo; also surviving are many nieces and nephews; best friend like a brother, Ken Martinez of Santa Clara, mother of his children, Mandie Jaramillo-Vigil; maternal Grandmother of his children, Olinda Jaramillo of Española, as well as numerous other relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Thursday, November 14, 2013 at 6:30p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a devotional service to follow at 7:00p.m. Memorial Mass will be on Friday, November 15, 2013 at 10:30a.m. at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Cañada. Burial will take place at a later date. The family of Brian Vigil has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.\r\n \r\n
