Brenice - Age 89 - Santa Fe Valdez

Brenice R. Valdez, 89, a resident of Santa Fe passed away on Friday, September 17, 2010. She was an educator in Northern New Mexico for 40 years teaching in Penasco, El Rito and Espanola. Brenice retired from teaching in 1982, and lived in Santa Fe until her death. She is survived by her children: Joseph B. Valdez III and wife Roberta of Mission Viejo, CA., Marcia Valdez of Santa Fe, Barbara Valdez of Taos, Catherine Valdez of Santa Fe, Paul Valdez and wife Belinda of Canjilon; sister, Laverne Gambin of Eureka, CA.; 21 grandchildren and 45 great-grandchildren. Public visitation will be held on Thursday, September 23, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a memorial service to follow at 5:00 p.m. The Family of Brenice Valdez have entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
