Brenda P. - age 46 - Española Fernandez

Brenda P. Fernandez, 46, a resident of Española, passed away on Sunday, October 12, 2014. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arsenio and Eufelia Fernandez; daughter, Margarita Valdez; sister, Josephine Krauss; nephews, Arsenio Herrera, Eliseo Salazar, and Mario Valerio; close Friend, Steven Duran. Brenda was a great mother, sister, aunt and friend. She was a very patient woman with a big heart. She worried more about others than herself. Brenda was always willing to help others and went through great lengths to do so. She was an outgoing person with a beautiful smile, she was beautiful inside and out. Some of her hobbies were car racing, attending monster truck shows, she also loved taking road trips. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her. Brenda is survived by her son, Markos Valdez of Albuquerque; In-laws, Gene Valdez and Georgia of Velarde; sisters, Lorraine Valdez and husband Pedro of Española, Irene Montoya and husband Eliseo of Alcalde, Clara Flores and husband Ernie of Irvine, CA, Bernadette Jaramillo of Santa Fe, and Maria Armijo and husband Chris of Santa Fe, brothers, Tony Valerio and wife Marylou and Joe Gutierrez both of Española; close friends, Jessica Vigil of Santa Fe, Steve Vigil of Cundiyo, Barney Vigil of Chimayo, and Marvin Vigil and wife Marsha of Nambe, and numerous other relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin Saturday, October 18, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a Memorial service to follow at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be held a later date. The family of Brenda P. Fernandez has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.\r\n
