Brenda L. Age - 47 - Española Martinez

Brenda L. Martinez, 47, a resident of Española passed away on Monday, May 6, 2013 after a short illness. She was preceded in death by her mother, Margarita Elena Ortega; brothers: Martin, Raymond and Beltran Ortega; father-in-law, Reganaldo Lalo Martinez; brother-in-law, Anthony Sammy Martinez. Brenda was highly active in the Medical field learning new areas of the healthcare profession. She enjoyed family gatherings preparing big meals for her family and friends, a way she loved to be with her family. Brenda is survived by her husband, Billy Martinez; sons: Adrian DeHerrera (Karen), Billy Martinez Jr. (Victoria), Andrew Trujillo (Ruby); father of her son, Leonard DeHerera and his parents, David and Marie DeHerrera; father, Diego Ortega Sr. (Kathryn); sisters: Priscilla Schimpf (Henry), Anna Archuleta (Pat), Angela Ortega, Elma Rodriguez (Dan) and Joann Ortega; brothers: Diego Ortega (Sheri), David Ortega (Sabrina), Zorro Ortega (Rose), Tony Ruiz (Ruth), Carlos Ruiz and Robert Ruiz (Jewlz); mother-in-law, Cora Martinez; brother-in-law, Raymond Martinez; sister-in-law, Lindy Martinez; nieces/nephews: Samantha Valdez (Adel), Richard Horton, Victoria Martinez, Elena Schimpf, Giovanni Ortega, Henry Schimpf Jr., Brendon, Nick and Matt Ortega; numerous other loving nieces, nephews relatives & friends. Rosary will be recited on Friday, May 10, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh. The family of Brenda L. Martinez have entrusted the care of their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
