Bonifacio Sanchez, 78, was called to his heavenly home on November 9, 2024. He was born September 15, 1946, to George and Trinnie Sanchez.
Bonifacio is a US Navy Veteran who served in the Vietnam War. He was a member of the IBEW 611 Union, retiring as an electrician from Los Alamos National Laboratory after many years of service. Bonifacio loved the outdoors, going off-roading, going for long drives to the mountains, hunting, fishing, and shooting his various firearms. He is remembered by his son, Roman, and grandson, Nick, for going arrowhead hunting and star gazing through the telescope. During his retirement, he took on the hobby of Spanish Colonial wood-working in which he created some beautiful furniture pieces. Most recently he enjoyed visiting and spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren whom he adored and cherished.
Bonifacio was preceded in death by his parents George and Trinnie Sanchez; sons Kenny Martinez and Marvin Naranjo; brother Michael Sanchez; sister Christine Salazar; nephew Adam Salazar and close cousin Raymond Sandoval and many other family members.
He is survived by his children, Beverly (Gilbert) Trujillo, Yvette Naranjo, Roman Sanchez (Laura), stepdaughter Valerie Valdez; Grandchildren, Nicholas Garcia, Anique Sandoval, Ariana Trujillo, Aaliyah Trujillo, Kenny (Mariah) Moreland, Mikayla Valdez, Gilbert Valdez, Amberley Archuleta, Stephanie Sanchez (Miguel), and Chantel Sanchez (Marcus); Great-Grandchildren, Kailey, Lukus, & Matthew Garcia; Kianna, LeAndra, Kamara, & Kenny Moreland, Kayden Vigil, and Yovanni; Sisters Mary Agnes Duran, Gloria Sanchez, and Debbie Sanchez; Nieces and Nephews Melissa & Matthew Duran, Mercedes Sanchez, Adrian & Melanie Salazar, Candida Martini, Catrina Lujan; Special Aunt Rosalind (Clyde) Martinez; mother of Kenny & Beverly, Esther Martinez; mother of Roman, Beatrice Delores, and numerous other family members and friends.
We will miss him dearly but take comfort in knowing that he is now resting and no longer suffering.
