Blaine Meyer Hadden peacefully passed away at the age of 55 in his El Rito home surrounded by family after a brief and courageous battle with a very aggressive lung cancer, on August 6, 2016.
Born in Crescent City, CA to Brenda and Staley Hadden, he was raised on ranches in southern Idaho and moved to Los Alamos, NM in 1978.  After serving in the Marine Corps and completing his Electrical Engineering degree, he married his “beautiful bride,” Marie-Louise Jalbert in 1993. Many adventures ensued including building a homestead in the Jemez Mountains, serving as a volunteer firefighter and EMT, Alaskan fishing trips, and participating in cowboy action and mounted shooting activities.  At Los Alamos National Laboratory, Blaine was an integral part of a program with Homeland Security’s Second Line of Defense which sent him around the world to secure seaports.
Blaine will be remembered as a loving husband, son, brother, uncle, Marine, cowboy, firefighter, and loyal friend.  Authentic.  Blaine is survived by his wife, Marie-Louise Hadden; parents, Brenda and Staley Hadden; sister Trina Hadden; brother Bret Hadden; nieces Kristin Smith and Chelsea Hadden;  nephew Emery Hadden as well as Marie-Louise’s brothers Marc Jalbert, Louis Jalbert and Chris Jalbert and their families.
A Holy Rosary will be recited at the San Juan Nepomuceno Church in El Rito on Friday, August 19 at 6:30 pm.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, August 20 at 9:30 am at the San Juan Nepomuceno Church in El Rito.
