BETTY J. (BJ) FINLEY R.N., 89, loving wife, daughter mother, sister passed away of natural causes of a long term illness on Monday, November 6, 2017. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Moffitt, mother, Lillie E. Davis; husband, Clarence U. Finley; son, Dr. David Finley, daughters, Rebecca Lynn Finley and Debra J. Campa. Betty was born in Enid, Oklahoma and raised in Mc Cook Nebraska then moved to New Mexico. Betty was a loving wife and mother, in September of 1971 she graduated from Albuquerque Technical Vocational Institute where she earned a Hospital Aide Certificate. On September 14, 1973, she graduated from the St. Vincent’s School of Nursing and became a licensed practical. She worked in the Community at St. Vincent’s in Santa Fe, LAMC in Los Alamos and the Espanola Hospital. On May 14, 1987, she achieved her lifelong dream of becoming a Registered Nurse, graduating from Northern New Mexico Community College in Espanola, NM with an Associate’s Degree of Applied Science, Nursing. She continued working within the community adding to her resume Pinon Hills Residential Treatment Center in Alcalde. Betty is survived by her daughters, Marsha A. Fralick of San Diego California, Shiela Gentry of Arroyo Seco, sons, Darryl Finley of Albuquerque, Clarence U. (Dee) Finley of San Diego California, Richard Finley of Albuquerque, and Donald J. Finley of Espanola; grandchildren and extended relatives. Public Visitation will begin on Sunday, November 12, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory, with a memorial service to follow at 7:00p.m. Burial will be held at the Santa Fe National Cemetery on Monday, November 13, 2017 at 11:15 a.m. The family of Betty J.
