Bettina - Age 24 - Chimayo - Martinez

BETTINA ANGELICA MARTINEZ, 24, a resident of Chimayo, passed away on Sunday, February 3, 2013. She was preceded in death by her father, Sammy S. Martinez; brother, Brian Martinez; maternal grandparents, Esquipula Y. and Dulcinia Martinez; aunts, Della Thompson and Bernie Martinez; uncle, Odell Thompson; cousins, Marty and Angel Trujillo. Bettina was a special angel who touched many lives. She never walked or spoke but her smile and laughter would light up the room; she was so very sweet, loveable, soft and gentle. She was her family’s bright light of sunshine. She enjoyed her mother’s touch and enjoyed sitting on her favorite swing. Bettina had a love for music of every kind. Those who were blessed to have known her will truly miss her dearly. Rest in peace Bettina, your family will never forget you. Bettina is survived by her mother, Angelina Martinez of Chimayo; sisters, Kandi Martinez and fiancé Roland of Peñasco and Teri Culler and husband Stephen of Denver, CO; nephew, Brian Martinez of Arroyo Seco; nurse that was like a mom, Christella Lopez and husband Orlando of El Rancho; God-parents/aunt-uncle, Joe Martinez and wife Patty of Chimayo; paternal grandmother, Louisa Martinez of Chimayo; paternal grandfather, Sabino Martinez of Chimayo; aunts and uncles, Robert, Benny and David Martinez, Martha Trujillo and husband Orlando, Sammy Martinez and wife Neomi, Danny and Benny Martinez all of Chimayo, Eddie Martinez and wife Thea of Los Ojos, Lucy Garcia and husband Isaac of Española, Rosie Mason and husband Jeff, Maria Mendez, Esther Martinez and husband Phil, Johnny C. Martinez and wife Geraldine all of Chimayo and numerous other relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at 6:30 p.m. at The Lighthouse Church in Chimayo with a Devotional service to follow at 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held Thursday, February 7, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at The Lighthouse Church in Chimayo. Burial to follow at the Assembly of God Cemetery in Chimayo. Serving as pallbearers, Stephen Culler, Roland Rodriguez, Angelo Trujillo, Isaac Martinez, Brian Martinez and Michael Trujillo. Honorary pallbearers named are, Brian Martinez and unborn nephew.
