Berthus B. - Age 90 - Los Alamos McInteer

Berthus B. McInteer – Age 90 a resident of Los Alamos died Saturday, November 27, 2010 following a sudden illness. Mr. McInteer was a Physicist for Los Alamos National Laboratory for 32 years. He received his doctorate from the University of Minnesota from the late Al Niehr. He designed and built columns to separate stable isotopes. He and other people designed a Hot Dry Rock Program and designed a nuclear sub terrine. He enjoyed mass spectrometry. He started a company Isotope Services Inc., which analyzed stable Istopes with clients from throughout the world. He closed the business in 2005. He is survived by his wife, Carlotta McInteer of Los Alamos; children: Larry McInteer of Tennessee, Patricia McInteer and husband Bob Allen of Phoenix, AZ, Robert McInteer and wife Cynthia of Albuquerque, Bonnie Sue McInteer and husband Chris Larsen of Crested Butte, Colorado, Amy Parvin and husband Donald of Los Alamos, Brian Woods of Santa Fe, Richard McInteer and wife Debra of Lexington, Kentucky and Tadg Woods of Los Alamos; sister, Sarah Becker of Arlington Virginia; and numerous grandchildren and friends. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 18, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Unitarian Church in Los Alamos. The family of Berthus B. McInteer has entrusted the care of their beloved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley. \r\n
