Bertha Esquibel

Bertha Esquibel, 99, a resident of Alcalde for 6 years, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, November 20, 2016. Bertha was preceded in death by husband, Andres Esquibel; sons, Christino, Eloy, Virgil, Leodro, and an Infant son Ben, special grandson, Randy Torrez. She raised 11 Children and she enjoyed going to the senior citizen center. She is survived by her children, Siliano Torrez, Andy Esquibel (Anita), Rudy Esquibel (Julia), Jimmy Esquibel (MaryLou), Victor Esquibel (Kathy), Leoma Esquibel; grandchildren, Angela Torrez, Sylvia Pena (Danny), Brenda Esquibel, Anntonette Esquibel, Anthony Esquibel, Michelle Chadwick (Adam), Charlie Esquibel (Mary), James Christopher Esquibel Jimmy, Mario, Andria (Oscar), Christina Esquibel, Alonzo Chacon, and Audry Hill; sisters, Consuelo Valdez, Evelyn Rael (Gilbert). Public visitation will begin on Friday, November 25, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory, with a devotional service to follow at 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Peace of  DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory, with a burial to follow at the Apostolic Cemetery in Velarde.
