Bernie Guinn

Bernie Guinn 77, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Nambe, New Mexico on November 15,1945. 

Bernie is preceded in death by her father Seferino Valdez and her mother Elviria Valdez, sister Theresa, brother Anselmo, sister Anna (Ruben) Martinez, brother Isidoro Valdez, and grandson John Ray Gurule.

Bernie is survived by her caring husband Harold (Nick) Guinn of 43 years and her siblings, Johnny and Fernando Valdez and sister Christine Powers, son Chris (Denise) Montoya, daughter Dolores (Charles) Panas, son Steven (Rhonda) Montoya, daughter Suzanne (Jacob) Panas, and son Harold (Maria) Guinn. 

Bernie Guinn is survived by her grandchildren, Steven (Jr), Cynthia, Jose, Joshua, Sabrina, Jacob (Jr), Miranda, Isaiah, KayLeen, and Katie and her great-grand-children, MiKayla, John Ray (Jr), Noah, Nevaeh, Josiah, Zaelynn, Halo, Jeremiah, Xyliah and Kasey Mae.

Bernie was successful in many things, including graduating from cosmetology school. She enjoyed Low - Rider Car shows and family functions.

We will always love you, Mom. 

A public viewing will be held at DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory in the Sangre de Cristo chapel in Espanola, New Mexico on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. and a Rosary at 6:00 p.m. Burial will take place at a later date.
