Bernabe "Bernie" Ortega

\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n Bernabe “Bernie” Ortega Age 64, a resident of Santa Fe, passed away on Saturday, February 13, 2010. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Eleanor Ortega. He served proudly in the U.S. Navy for 12 years. He loved fishing, cooking, and loved to barbeque. Bernie was a very social person and loved being with his friends and family. He is survived by his sisters and brothers, Margaret Camacho of Bernalillo, Carlos Ortega and wife Erica of Colorado Springs, CO, Jacob Ortega and wife Marie of Victorville, CA, Paul Ortega of Santa Fe, Angie Yardis of Santa Fe, numerous nephews, nieces, close relatives and friends. Graveside service will be held on Monday, February 22, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery with full military honors. The family of Bernabe “Bernie” Ortega has placed their trust in DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Espanola Valley. \r\n
