Berlina - La Mesilla Quintana

Berlina Quintana peacefully passed away at her home in La Mesilla with her loving family by her side, on Wednesday, October 17, 2012. Berlina was born on June 5, 1926 in Española, New Mexico to Antonio M. and Julianita Archuleta. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Margarito, Gilbert and Dennis; sister, Flossy Archuleta. Berlina is survived by her siblings: Mela Garcia, Ruben Archuleta and wife Virginia. Berlina was a loyal wife of 66 years, married to Marcelino F. Quintana. The loving mother of: Paul, Pauline, Dolores and Stephanie. She had two loving sons-in-law, Tony Marquez and Kevin Montoya; seven grandchildren: Chris, Patrick, Thomas, Maricia, Ian, Sara and Marlina; two great-grandchildren: Cruz and Santyana. A rosary will be recited on Monday, October 22, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Cañada. Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated on Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. also at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Cañada. Burial to follow at 1:30 p.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers, Orlando Archuleta, Eliseo, Chris, Patrick, Thomas Quintana and Ian Marquez. Honorary pallbearers named are, Bobby Baros, Larry Gurule, Susie Sanchez, Charlene Ortega, Sara Marquez, Marlina Montoya, Maricia O’Keefe and Santyana Quintana. The family of Berlina Quintana have entrusted the care of their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
