Benny - Age 55 - Española - Lovato

BENNY (CATS) LOVATO, 55, a resident of Española, went to be with our Lord peacefully on Thursday, August 16, 2012 with his loving family by his side. Benny loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed fishing and the outdoors. He retired from the Los Alamos National Laboratory. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Rosita Lovato and close uncle, Joe Rendon. Mr. Lovato is survived by his wife, Linda Lovato; children, Belinda Martinez and husband Anthony and Jessica Lovato; granddaughter, Bethany Martinez; brothers, Gilbert Lovato and wife Dora and Donald Lovato; sister, Darlene Vigil and husband Rudy; nieces and nephews, Russell Lovato and wife Maria, Beto and Vanessa Lovato, Annette Tovar and husband Sergio, Rosann and Brandon Lovato, Daniel Grant, April, Jolene Ortega and Adrian Mares; great-nieces and nephews, Zina Lovato, Julian and Zachary Tovar, Junior, Nathaniel and Violet and Brooklyn Moreno and numerous other relatives and friends. Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated on Thursday, August 23, 2012 at 5:30 p.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Española. A rosary will be recited on Friday, August 24, 2012 at 8:15 a.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial to follow at 10:15 a.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers, Anthony Martinez, Ricky Hayes, Russell Lovato, Ronnie Salazar, Brandon Lovato and Beto Lovato. The family of Benny (Cats) Lovato has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
