Ben M. - Age 63 - Santa Cruz Arellano

BEN M. ARELLANO, 63, a resident of Santa Cruz, passed away on Friday, November 18, 2011 following an illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, Filemon and Annie Arellano; mother-in-law, Marie Roybal and father-in-law, Rudy Roybal. He was the President of La Cofradia de la Santisima Trinidad. He loved to hunt, fish, and garden and loved his animals. He also loved to go to his family’s sports events and especially loved to spend time with his grandchildren. Mr. Arellano is survived by his wife, Pauline Arellano; children, Jeff and Jerome Arellano both of Santa Cruz and Jeannie Gallegos of Santa Fe; grandchildren, Cassandra Nunz and husband Jeremy, Timothy and Kristen Gallegos, Lucas and Rianna Arellano; brothers and sisters, Eddie Herrera, Gilbert Arellano and wife Carol, Irene Herrera, Theresa Vigil and husband Lupe, Patsy Lujan and husband Ruben, Rose Vogt and husband Don and Veronica Chacon and husband Alfonso; God-children, Matthew Herrera, Cathy Vigil-Martinez and Antonita Bustos; brothers-in-law, Rudy Roybal and wife Loyola, Orlando Roybal and wife Martha, David Roybal and wife Debbie and Mike Roybal and wife Theresa and numerous nephews, nieces and other relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited on Sunday, November 20, 2011 at 4:00 p.m. at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Cañada. Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated on Monday, November 21, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. also at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Cañada. Burial to follow at the Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers, Lupe Vigil, Dave Roybal, Fred Quintana, Timothy Gallegos, Ruben Lujan, Mike Roybal, Andy Chacon and Lucas Arellano.
