Benito W. Roybal, 78, a resident of El Rancho went home to be with Our Lord on Saturday, December 29, 2012 after a lengthy illness. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War and was stationed in Japan. He loved to go fishing, dancing and being outdoors; going to the casino. He retired from the Los Alamos School with 30 years of services. He was preceded in death by his grandparents who raised him, Donacino and Andreita Gomez; parents, Martin and Maria G. Roybal; brothers: Martin “Junior,” Patricio, Pancrosco, Jose Alevardo (Gerturde); sister, Orelia Quintana; his only son, Benny Lopez. He is survived by his companion of 23 years, Sandra “Sandy” Fairley from the home; brother, Alfred (Beatrice) Roybal of Arroyo Seco; 2 grandsons of La Mesilla; sister-in-law, Christine Roybal of California; his close and dear friend, Jose Alfredo Roybal; friends: Philip Roybal and Leonard Carreno; numerous nieces, nephews and other loving relatives & friends.
