BENINA DOMINGUEZ DEAGUERO, 102, also known as “Benny DeAguero”, passed away on Sunday, September 26, 2010. She was born March 9, 1908 in Truchas but resided in Chimayo all her life. Benina was preceded in death by her parents, Vicente and Epifania Dominguez; husband, Gabriel DeAguero; daughters, Adelita and Bernie Garcia; son, Feliberto; grandsons, Delfido and Martin; great-grandson, Baby William; siblings, Adolfo, Juanita, Fedelina, Timotea, Ramoncita, Carmelita and husband Hermando and Eloisa and husband Encarnacion and brother-in-law, Jose DeAguero. Mrs. DeAguero is survived by her children, Archie DeAguero and wife JoAnn and Erlinda Martinez and husband Chris I. Sr.; son-in-law, Abel Garcia; grandchildren, Archie Jr. and Dusty, Sandra, Ricky and Balarie, Angela, James and Imelda, David, Filbert, Bonnie and Kent, Jackie and Daniel, Chris Jr. and Anna, Marsha and Jeff, Abel Jr. and Jami, Gene and Christine, Brenda and Darroll; 24 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren; God-children, Jackie Martinez, Debbie Castro, Angie Armijo and Ricky DeAguero; very close granddaughters, Jackie Martinez and Brenda Abeyta; very close niece, Vicky and Alfonso Martinez and their daughter, Debbie Rodella; very close family friend, Tony Pacheco and many, more relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at 6:30 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated on Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Chimayo. Burial to follow at the Nuestra Señora de Dolores Catholic Cemetery in Chimayo with the following serving as pallbearers, Chris I. Martinez Jr., Daniel Archuleta, Marcos Vigil, Chris I. Martinez III, Abel Garcia Jr. and Filbert, David and Ricky DeAguero. Honorary pallbearers named are, Tony Pacheco, Stevie Garcia Jr., grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
