Becky - Age 78 - Española - Gonzales

BECKY GONZALES, 78, a resident of Española and formerly of Albuquerque, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, November 10, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Gonzales; parents, Francisco and Sarita Martinez; brothers and sisters, Anita Martinez, Josephine Martinez, Donna Martinez, Silviano and Frank Martinez. She loved gardening and fishing and loved music and dancing. She had a big heart and was friendly. She found an angel in everyone she met. She always made family gatherings the best. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Mrs. Gonzales is survived by her brother, Apolinar Martinez and wife Mary; brother-in-law, Orlando Martinez; sister-in-law, Clara Martinez; nieces and nephews, Annabelle Paña and husband Joseph and family, Sara Martinez and family, Larry Martinez and companion Sandra Romero and family, Rosemary Urbina and husband Leo and family, Shirley Martinez and family, Judy Graham and husband Larry and family; God-children, Larry Martinez, Danielle Martinez, Andria Lujan; and a very special neighbor, May and numerous other relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited on Monday, November 14, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory. A wake will be held on Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. also in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory. Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated on Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at 11:30 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh. Burial to follow at the La Villita Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers, Larry Graham, Louie Martinez, Valentin Rodriguez, Jesse Urbina, Ernest Martinez and Henry Abeyta. Honorary pallbearers named are, Leo Urbina and Mike and Joe Martinez. The family of Becky Gonzales has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
